CEE Graduate Programs Earn High Rankings

U.S. News and World Report has ranked Georgia Tech high on its 2023-2024 list of the nation’s best engineering graduate schools.

The School’s civil engineering and environmental engineering graduate programs were each ranked in the top five for the second year in a row.

The civil engineering graduate program maintained its standing at No. 3. Environmental engineering is in a tie for fifth place with Virginia Tech and the University of Texas-Austin. 

Overall, the Georgia Tech College of Engineering was ranked No. 5, up from No. 7 the previous year. In addition to CEE’s excellent rankings, all 11 disciplines within the College of Engineering were once again recognized in the nation’s top 10.

“We are extremely proud of the educational and research opportunities we provide to our graduate students and it is meaningful to have our programs recognized so favorably at the national level,” said Karen and John Huff School Chair Don Webster.

Graduate Program Rises to No. 5 in National Rankings

Georgia Tech’s engineering graduate program has climbed two spots to No. 5 in the 2023-24 edition of the U.S. News & World Report national rankings. The new ranking puts the College of Engineering third among public universities. At No. 5 overall, the College is tied with Carnegie Mellons engineering program.
